Ness psy-kicks Bowser's tail. In a 6-3 matchup, the young boy defeated the large, turtley-turtle and became the Division 1 Champion!!

King of All Cosmos is on a roll, stops Sonic solidly. The speedy hedgehog was no match for the King, as Sonic fell to the unstoppable ball-roller 6-3. King of All Cosmos, Division 2 Champion!

Pac-Man chews up and spits out bounty hunter. Samus looked just like a pellet when she was rolled up in that ball. Pac-Man destroyed her in the 6-3 match and is the Division 3 Champ!

Snake outmaneuvers kickmaster, sneaks into the finals. While Chun Li put up a (street) fight, Snake was the victor in this close match, in a 5-4 final. Solid Snake, Division 4 Champion!

King of Koopas upsets King of Tournament. In a surprisingly close battle, Link, who had no votes against him prior to this match loses to Bowser in a 6-5 match.

Mean-spirited star no match for psychic phenom. Ness clean's Wario's clock in a simple battle for the boy, winning 8-3.

King of Cosmos continues major upset streak. In another surprising upset, everyone's favorite plumber bit the dust against the Royal Rainbow, as the King of All Cosmos destroyed Mario 9-2.

Sonic speeds overcome dark magic. Magus and his villianous ways were no match for the speedy Sonic, as Sonic runs into the next round with a 7-4 victory.

Pac-Man chows down on competition. Fox proved to be no match for the cherry-gobbling Pac-Man, and Pac moves on after an 8-3 victory.

Bounty hunter takes down lesser-known plumber Higher seeded Luigi couldn't stand up to Samus, as she takes him down 7-4.

Late comeback gives stealth master victory. Kirby had the votes to win, but a last minute surge of Snake votes gave the Metal Gear Solid star the victory, 6-5.

Chun Li stomps on earthworm, says it was icky. In a show of solidarity for keeping boobs in the tournament, the Street Fighter Chun Li beat Earthworm Jim 7-4.

(4)BOWSER vs. (10)NESS - Both have had tough roads to get to this point. Ness upset all of his opponents, beating the tough Sephiroth in the second round. Bowser is coming off the high of beating last tournament's champion, Link, so he must be a force to be reckoned with. King Koopa vs. Earthbound Psychic. The D1 champion will be decided with your vote!

Division 2 Championship

(2)SONIC vs. (13)KING OF ALL COSMOS - A very unlikely and unexpected matchup. The King has been crushing his competition left and right, starting with favorite Sora and just recently destroying Mario. The lower seed means nothing to this powerhouse. On the other hand, Sonic has had no trouble with his competitors, and has history and the fact that he was a system mascot on his side. Only one can be the D2 champion!

Divison 3 Championship

(1)PAC-MAN vs. (6)SAMUS - A very intriguing battle for this championship. Pac-Man is the only #1 seed left in the tournament, after having two troubling rounds, he easily defeated his rival last round and hopes to sweep Samus as well. Samus, on the other hand, has crushed two normally difficult opponents (Mega Man and Luigi) and has no qualms destroying the legend she is facing now. Which one will become champion of D3?

Division 4 Championship

(5)SOLID SNAKE vs. (7)CHUN LI - Chun Li is a surprising competitor in the elite 8, having been knocked out round 1 in the first competition. Snake is a fan favorite, and has shown that he has the right ammo for the right situations. Both have faced fierce competition and come out on top, but now they face each other, and neither is one to back down easy. Which one is destined to be the D4 champion?

Pac-Man pounds prince pricelessly. The Pac-Man monster keeps on rolling, in yet another close battle he defeats the Prince of Persia 5-4.

Fox told to freeze, but disobeys. Sub-Zero's ice was no match for Fox's skills. The wily Arwing commander moves on after a close 5-4 victory.

"Beam this!" quotes bounty hunter in epic battle. Samus brought her A-game and showed that her blaster was the biggest in the galaxy, trouncing Mega Man 6-3.

Bomberman bombs his attempt in round 2. The plucky Bomberman couldn't stand up to the wonderous plumber, as Luigi moves on after a 6-3 win.

Kirby swallows pride, and Ganondorf. As the title says, Kirby had no trouble in defeating Link's nemesis, winning by a large margin of 8-1.

Pokemon shot down with Stinger missile. Apparently the cardboard box does work, as Solid Snake took down Pikachu 6-3 in a hard-fought battle. Film at eleven.

Groovy earthworm defeats cool bad-ass. Earthworm Jim proves that he's not just another worm in the ground, as he trounces Duke Nukem 7-2 in another upset.

Yoshi flounders, street fighter kicks butt. In yet another upset this round, the superstar Chun Li brought fortitude and high kicks, and defeated Yoshi in a close 5-4 matchup.

Division 1

(1)LINK vs. (4)BOWSER - The hero of Hyrule faces the villian of the Mushroom Kingdom in this round 3 matchup! Link has yet to have a vote cast against him after the first two rounds, and is confident he can keep his streak alive. Bowser, on the other hand, is ready to upset the returning champion and take his place in the Elite 8. But the king Koopa has trouble defeating plucky plumber, Mario. Can he take down the reigning champ, or will Link breeze by yet again?

(6)WARIO vs. (10)NESS - Both of these competitors upset a higher-ranked seed to get to this position, and now they've got to take on each other. Wario is evil, has a villianous mustache, and farts a lot. Ness is good, hasn't hit puberty yet, and has psychic powers. Only one will prevail. Will it be the evil, twisted antihero of the Mushroom Kingdom, or will it be the superstar of Onett?

Division 2

(1)MARIO vs. (13)KING OF ALL COSMOS - The runner-up of last tournament, Mario hasn't had much difficulty getting this far. But the surprising newcomer from Katamari Damacy has upset two heavyweights to get to the sweet 16, and isn't about to stop trucking just because Mario's such a favorite. Mario has Rainbow Road on his resume, while the King just likes rainbows in general. It's a match-up that won't be easily forgotten! Will the plumber move on yet again, or will the King roll up another upset?

(2)SONIC vs. (11)MAGUS - Sonic has been running circles around the competition, keen on reclaiming his #1 seed that he lost in the first tournament. Magus, on the other hand, has been throwing dark magic into the mix, having upset both the hero of his own game, and a powerful contender that made the Elite 8 in the first tourney. The super-fast hedgehog has no intentions of slowing down, but will his speed be enough to take on the crafty mage? Or will Magus darken Sonic's spirits and knock him out of the running?

Division 3

(1)PAC-MAN vs. (5)FOX MCCLOUD - Pac-Man's had a rough road as the #1 seed, just barely squeaking by both his previous competitors. Fox has also had his own share of difficulties, having had two close match-ups of his own. Both are battle-scarred and battle-weary, but still want to take the main title home. Neither will back down without a brutal fight. The question is, which one will give up the ghost first, Pac-Man, or Fox?

(2)LUIGI vs. (6)SAMUS - Both Samus and Luigi have had a similar path to this point, both defeating their first opponents 5-4, and their second opponent 6-3. If the pattern continues, one will move on this time 7-2. But which one will it be? Will it be the bounty hounter who has blown up planets on her hunt for Metroids? Or will it be the shunned sidekick brother, looking for his own spot of fame?

Division 4

(1)KIRBY vs. (5)SOLID SNAKE - Kirby faltered first round, nearly losing to a 16th seed, but bounced back and destroyed his competition in the second round. Snake has stealthily dispatched his two opponents, a sneaky underdog in the making. Snake will have to pull out everything from his box of tricks for this battle, as Kirby has many different abilities to throw at the seasoned hero. Will Kirby continue his romp forward, or is Snake about to create a time paradox for our pink marshmallowy friend?

(7)CHUN LI vs. (14)EARTHWORM JIM - After an embarrassing exit first round of the first tournament, Chun Li has proved she's still alive and kicking by making her way into round 3. Earthworm Jim is a surprise contender, having surpassed two tough opponents to make himself the lowest-seeded competitor in the Sweet 16. Now Chun Li has a lot of fighting moves in her, but Jim has a gun that can drop a house on her. Will EWJ continue his surprising upset streak and move on to the Elite 8? Or will Chun Li take him down with a split kick?

It was a slow week this week...only 5 voters this week in the tournament, and we saw some upsets of usual favorites. Was it because you didn't get out and vote? MOST LIKELY! So vote this time!

Elf crushes bandicoot, no remains found. In a not-so-shocking match, returning champion Link steamrolled over Crash Bandicoot 5-0. The favorite has yet to even be voted against.

King Koopa nearly toppled by young mage. A hard-fought battle occurred between Bowser and Vivi, but the young black mage didn't have enough oomph and lost out to the Koopa King 3-2.

Spiky hair no match for stinky farts. In a surprising upset, Mario's other nemesis, Wario, overtook the usual favorite Cloud in a 3-2 match and moved on to the Sweet 16.

Psychic boy troubles evil villian. It was a sad day for Final Fantasy 7, as not one, but two characters were eliminated. In this match, Ness defeated the #2 seed Sephiroth in a 4-1 upset.

Plumber not afraid of vampires. Alucard was once again defeated by Mario in the second round, only scoring one vote in the 4-1 match.

King not distracted by boobs, moves on. The King of All Cosmos scored another amazing upset, this time over Lara Croft, winning with a 4-1 margin.

Dark villian destroys monkey. Donkey Kong's fashionable tie and great ape strength were no match for Magus's dark magic, as Magus upsets the monkey 3-2.

Hedgehog continues to run circles around competition. Sonic had no trouble defeating the future robot X, scoring a 4-1 victory.

And now...Round 2 for Divisions 3 and 4!

(1)PAC-MAN vs. (9)PRINCE OF PERSIA - Battle of the Ps in round 2. Pac-Man, a #1 seed because of his performance in the last tournament, narrowly defeated GTA newcomer CJ first round. The Persian prince also had slight difficulty in moving on to round 2 when he went up against Liu Kang. Now the fruit-gobbling head faces the wall-scaling prince, and neither are going to give up the ghost. Pac-Man made it to the Elite 8 last tournament, but this is as far as the Prince has previously seen. Will the #1 Pac-Man advance, or will we see a huge upset by the Prince?

(4)SUB-ZERO vs. (5)FOX MCCLOUD - Sub-Zero froze up in round 1, nearly being toppled by the Twisted Metal clown. Fox has similar difficulties with Joanna Dark. Both earned their spot in the second round, and both are looking to head into round 3. While Sub-Zero is cold as ice, Fox is just warming up. Last tournament, Sub-Zero exited the tournament by Zelda's hand in the Sweet 16, while Fox was unceremoniously defeated by Mega Man in round 2. So both have something to prove this tournament. Which one will be the victor?

(3)MEGA MAN vs. (6)SAMUS - In round 1, Samus had trouble with the marshmallowy Mallow but managed to squeak out a win. In stark contrast, Mega Man had no trouble blowing away his competition. Now both face off in round 2, and both have humongous blasters at their disposal. Mega Man is fighting to prove he deserves the #1 seeding from last tournament, while Samus is just out to prove she should be IN the tournament, after a disappointed first-round exit in the first tournament. Will the Blue Bomber ease by again, or does Samus have a Chozo trick up her sleeve?

(2)LUIGI vs. (7)BOMBERMAN - Luigi had difficulty defeating the panty-showing Blaze in round 1, barely edging her out. Bomberman, on the other hand, had no problems with his competitor, M. Bison. Now the slighted plumber brother is out to prove he is just as powerful as his counterpart, and Bomberman is just a small blip in his way. Or is he? Because Bomberman is also sporting a new, cool, futuristic look. Or maybe he's the cutesy Bomberman of old. Which Bomberman form can defeat Luigi, or is it all in vain?

(1)KIRBY vs. (8)GANONDORF - Round 1 saw Kirby barely get by the suprising Q*Bert assault. Ganondorf also barely beat out Tifa in his first round match-up. Both put sweat and tears into reaching the second round, so neither will give up that easy. Kirby has had no trouble swallowing his pride (as well as other things) in this tournament, now realizing his #1 seed doesn't guarantee him an easy road to the finals. Ganondorf is looking to pick up the first #1 upset of the tournament. Will it be a Dark day for Kirby, or is Ganondorf just a munchie?

(4)PIKACHU vs. (5)SOLID SNAKE - In the battle of the bad-asses, Solid Snake saw an easy victory over Dante. Pikachu had trouble handling the funk, but still managing to pick up a win. Now Snake faces his toughest opponent yet....a small, electric rat. Maybe this is a preview of an upcoming Super Smash Brothers showdown. Can Snake outfox the Pokemon with his cardboard box and girly magazines? Or is Pikachu immune to the stealth of Snake?

(6)DUKE NUKEM vs. (14)EARTHWORM JIM - Duke was out to kill his competition, and did so first round with ease. And Jim, the plucky worm in a super suit, pulled out his Upset-Gun and took down #3 seeded Zelda. Now Jim is looking to prove that his ammo and guns are much more badass than Duke's. However, Duke has bubble gum on his side. Will the earthworm score another upset win, or is Duke Nukem just too cool?

(2)YOSHI vs. (7)CHUN LI - Round 1, Double Dragon was no match for green dinosaur. Similarly, DK's other half was little trouble for the quick-kicking Chun Li. Yoshi made it all the way to the final 4 in the first tournament, and doesn't plan to let the street fighter stop him from making it that far again. Chun Li, just like Samus, is looking to prove that she deserves a spot in the tourney after her first round exit last time. Long tongue vs. long legs...who will be the winner?

Q*Bert tough pill to swallow, but Kirby pulls though. In a very close 5-4 match-up, the pink marshmallow Kirby barely manages to defeat the strange Q*Bert. One of the two judged to be badly ranked.

Boobs not enough to overcome dark lord. Even though Tifa put up a large fight, Ganondorf successfully pulled through in a 5-4 victory.

Snake solidly defeats competitor Dante. Dante wasn't a challenge at all for the stealthy Solid Snake, he didn't even need his cardboard box in this 8-1 rout.

Electric slide more powerful than the funk. Pikachu took down Toejam in a 6-3 match, and the plucky rodent moves on to round two. Sega fans mourn.

Duke nukes fighting master. The cool man with the big weapons and insatiable lust, Duke Nukem himself, defeats Tekken fighter Heihachi in a 6-2 fight.

Earthworm upsets earth, and princess standing on it. In a surprising fight, Earthworm Jim and his supersuit overtook Princess Zelda, winning by a margin of 6-3.

Monkey power no match for fast kicks. Chun Li takes her street-fighting skill to the little Diddy Kong, and soundly defeats him 6-3.

Dinosaur makes Dragon extinct. Yoshi had no trouble defeating Billy Lee, the Double Dragon alumnus, in a 7-2 victory. Yoshi hopes to have more tasty competition in round 2.

Now that all four divisions have had their first round of competition, it's on to round 2! We'll be voting on the Division 1 and Division 2 match-ups this time, with Div. 3 and Div. 4 to follow. Let's get to the match-ups!

DIVISION 1

(1)LINK vs. (8)CRASH BANDICOOT - Link didn't get a single vote against him in round 1, while Crash had a little difficulty in destroying Master Chief. Now the amazing elf and the Australian..er...bandicoot, face off in round 2 to see who will make it to the Sweet Sixteen. The former Playstation mascot has a tough battle against the heavweight of Hyrule and defending tournament champion. Who will move on, only you can decide!

(4)BOWSER vs. (12)VIVI - Bowser had no trouble defeating his competitor in round 1, while Vivi was the first character to upset their higher-ranked competitor in the first round. The black mage hopes to continue his upset streak by taking down the King Koopa in this battle. But Bowser isn't fazed by the small, magic-wielding mage and hopes to crush Vivi's dreams...and skull. Will Bowser roar supreme, or will Vivi sneak by again?

(3)CLOUD vs. (6)WARIO - Wario, a newbie to the tournament, had no trouble moving defeating his opponent in round 1. Cloud also had no trouble defeating his enemy, striking a pose with his big sword and spiky hair. But while both cruised to round 2, now one will have to take the fall. Will it be the hero of Final Fantasy 7, cleaving his way to the third round? Or will it be the big rival of Mario that goes deeper into the tournament?

(2)SEPHIROTH vs. (10)NESS - The Final Fantasy 7 villian only had one vote cast against him in the first round and moved on with ease. Ness proved that a boy is not to be underestimated, by upsetting Peach soundly. Now the psychic whiz kid faces off against the Jenova-loving, grey-haired, evil being. Can Sephiroth move on to round 3 with as little trouble as before? Or will Ness put up a bigger fight and possibly take him down?

DIVISION 2

(1)MARIO vs. (8)ALUCARD - The plucky plumber decimated his competition in the first round, while the half-vampire, half-human barely managed to overtake Zero in his victory. Now the two face off in round 2 in an odd reoccurance. In the first tournament, Mario and Alucard faced off in round 2 and Mario cruised through defeating Alucard 12-1. Alucard is now back for a rematch with the main man of Nintendo. Will the son of Dracula upset Mario, or will the plumber easily overtake him again?

(5)LARA CROFT vs. (13)KING OF ALL COSMOS - In the first round, Lara proved boobies are better. The King proved he was to be feared by upsetting Ratchet in a truly regal manner. Now both, who advanced by a 7-1 score, face off to see just who has the most power in this Playstation-fueled second round match. Can Lara strut her stuff and shoot down the King, or will he roll her up and toss her aside?

(3)DONKEY KONG vs. (11)MAGUS - In round 1, DK beat down the 3DO gecko, while Magus faced off with his Chrono Trigger counterpart and squeaked out a win. Now the dark mage and the banana-eating monkey face off in a match of epic proportions...or maybe just normal proportions. Either way, only one can move on to round 3. Can Magus conjure up another upset, or will DK make him go bananas?

(2)SONIC vs. (7)X - Sonic ran circles around his dinosaur-hunting competition in the first round, and X scored a victory over the devil himself. In round 2, the robot will have his hands full stopping the speedy hedgehog. This is the first time X has made it to round 2, and Sonic plans to make him not see round 3. Who will win, the hedgehog or the super robot?

Round 3 results! This round had the tighest results ever, with not 1, not 2, but 3 matches being decided by one harrowing vote!

Pac-Man narrowly escapes thug-life gangsta. The ghost-gobblin' Pac-Man was nearly ghosted himself, beating CJ in a tight 5-3 victory. People begin to question Pac-Man's #1 seeding.

Prince walks over Mortal Kombat winner. The nameless Prince of Persia moves on to the next round in a solid 6-3 victory over Liu Kang.

Joanna not so perfect, outfoxed by Arwing commander. In a 6-3 victory, Fox McCloud moves on to the next round, while Joanna Dark is left behind to lick her wounds.

Ice cold killer doesn't clown around. While it looked scary for a while, Sub-Zero managed to beat Sweet Tooth in a 5-4 victory. Guess the ice ninja doesn't like ice cream.

Samus beams a smile after close call. The Metroid hunter Samus managed to defeat the plucky Mallow in another close 5-4 match-up. Mallow cries himself to sleep afterwards, town floods.

Mega Man says "Blow This" to digger. In a strong showing by the Blue Bomber, Mega Man takes his blaster to Dig Dug in a 7-2 victory.

Bison bombs in first-round match-up. Bomberman in his cutesy old form takes down M. Bison in a 7-2 victory. Says it's payback for the Street Fighter movie.

Panties nearly score dangerous upset, but plumber survives. Luigi manages to defeat Blaze in a close 5-4 match, the prospect of further panty shots fell just short of carrying Blaze to the next round.

(1)KIRBY vs. (16)Q*BERT - Kirby is the famous pink marshmallow that sucks up enemies and absorbs their powers for later use. Q*Bert is....welll...I'm not really sure. Heck, I'm not even sure what you're supposed to do in his game (I tried to play once and gave up after 20 minutes of frustration). So...er...yes. That's all.

(8)GANONDORF vs. (9)TIFA - Ganondorf is the main antagonist of Hyrule and constantly tries to defeat the famous elf Link, and this his his human-ish form. Tifa is the big-boobed sidekick (no pun intended) of Cloud and is part of the Final Fantasy 7 squad. Ganondorf is mean, evil, and Tifa is sweet and "innocent." Both made it to the second round in the previous tournament. Only one will succeed this time...who will it be?

(5)SOLID SNAKE vs. (12)DANTE - Solid Snake is the veteran of the Metal Gear series, having taken down many enemies with stealth, sniping, and sometimes just lots of C4. Dante is the bad-ass main attraction from the Devil May Cry series who is half-human and half-demon, and is capable of insane acrobatics. Dante was knocked out first round last tournament, and is back with a vengeance. Both are bad-ass, both are victims to serious over-usage of cut scenes....which bad-ass will advance to the next round?

(4)PIKACHU vs. (13)TOEJAM - Pikachu is the most famous Pokemon in existence, able to electrocute practically anything, while still looking cute. Toejam is one-half of the famous duo Toejam & Earl, an underrated game series for the original Sega Genesis. Toejam is a newcomer to the tournament, hoping to prove that Sega isn't dead yet. Both are semi-cutesy, but while Pikachu can't talk, Toejam can bring the funk. Which of these two dueling opponents will overcome the other?

(6)DUKE NUKEM vs. (11)HEIHACHI - Duke Nukem was a bad-ass in 2-D form, and was a more mature bad-ass in 3-D FPS form. He wears sunglasses, curses frequently, and saves totally hot babes. Heihachi is from the Tekken fighting series, having fists of fury that will put up a fight against all his opponents. Heihachi was knocked out first round in the previous tournament, but Duke upset the favored Crono to move to the next round. Can Heihachi take down the Duke, or is Duke just going to pull out a can of whoop-ass on the fighting master?

(3)ZELDA vs. (14)EARTHWORM JIM - Zelda is the heroine of the Legend of Zelda series, frequently being saved by the hero Link, but sometimes taking the form of alter-ego Sheik. Earthworm Jim is a worm...who is blessed with the power of a super suit, a quick wit, and a really cool gun. The quirky Jim has taken down villians such as Psycrow and Bob the Goldfish, while Zelda has been captured by Ganondorf a lot. Will the princess be successful, or will the worm upset her?

(7)CHUN LI vs. (10)DIDDY KONG - Chun Li is one of the very first female fighters, she has a famous rapid kick and kicked butt in the original Street Fighter II. Diddy Kong is the lesser known, little furry sidekick of the bigger Donkey Kong. Unlike the other DK, he isn't a total exhibitionist and prefers to wear a T-shirt and cap. While Chun Li isn't known for her monkeying around, can she get around this monkey and move to the next round?

(2)YOSHI vs. (15)BILLY LEE - Yoshi is the lovable green dinosaur that runs around with Mario on his back and eats everything. Billy Lee is one of the two brothers from the Double Dragon series from way back when, wanting to save his girlfriend from evil (or was that the other one?). Anyway, Billy Lee is a newcomer, but Yoshi has experience having made it far into the previous tournament. Who will be successful this time?

It's time to go to round 3! But first...round 2 results!

Mario plumbs furry rat in 7-1 whammy. The runner-up from last tournament had no trouble defeating the smack-talking Daxter, and the mustached one moves on.

Vampire sucks blood from robot. In a close 4-3 battle, the half-vampire Alucard manages to beat the light-saber-wielding Zero.

Crowd weighs in: Boobs are good. The bountiful Lara Croft destroyed the underdog Ratchet in a 7-1 victory. No upset for Ratchet this tournament.

Keyblade useless against giant rolly-ball. The King of All Cosmos proved just why he is king, as he upset 4th ranked Sora in a surprising 7-1 victory.

People decide to root for the bad guy. In the Chrono Trigger face-off, Magus comes out the victor in a 5-2 vote. Crono silently takes the walk of shame, having exited in the first round twice now.

No monkeying around: Kong takes all. Donkey Kong stomps the 3DO gecko 6-2. Gex fades out of the tournament like the 3DO faded out of the world.

Other futuristic robot prevails over devil. While his counterpart lost, X triumphs over Diablo in a 5-2 romp. Diablo reportedly cast a curse on all naysayers.

Hedgehog runs circles around dinoslayer. Sonic wins over Turok in a 7-1 beating. No ammo was fast enough to take down his speed.

Now it's time for the Division 3 match-ups!

(1)PAC-MAN vs. (16)CJ - Pac-Man takes his new #1 seeding to the bank vs. the GTA: San Andreas star, CJ. Pac-Man has gotten recent upgrades from his classic appearance...namely arms and legs. And a driver's license. (That's right, Pac-Man racing.) CJ has a driver's license too...and steals every car possible to drive as much as possible. Wil Pac-Man chow down on the tough GTA star?

(8)LIU KANG vs. (9)PRINCE OF PERSIA - Liu Kang is one of the most famous faces in Mortal Kombat, and a newcomer to the tournament. He faces off against the famous Persian Prince, whose hobbies including walking on walls, running on walls, climbing on walls...well, you get the idea. Last tournament, the Prince upset Samus in the first round. Is Liu Kang's fireball enough to take down the acrobatic prince, or is another upset on the horizon?

(5)FOX MCCLOUD vs. (12)JOANNA DARK - Fox McCloud, leader of the StarFox Arwing team, can fly with the best of them (and also is deadly in Super Smash Brothers). Joanna Dark is the star of the first-person shooter Perfect Dark, and has a deadly arsenal at her disposal. Both are futuristic, both are skilled with guns...but one's wily like a fox....and the other's wily like a....human. Who will win?

(4)SUB-ZERO vs. (13)SWEET TOOTH - Sub-Zero is another famous face from the Mortal Kombat series. Able to ice his enemies in a single move and a favorite to cheesers everywhere, he is known to take no prisoners. Sweet Tooth is the psychotic clown who drives an ice cream truck in the Twisted Metal series. He's a fan of brute force and killing his enemies with a giant clown head fireball. Can he put the heat on Sub-Zero, or will he freeze up in battle?

(6)SAMUS vs. (11)MALLOW - Samus is the suited-up heroine of the Metroid series, armed with a beam cannon that does serious damage. Mallow is the cute marshmallow that aided Mario in Super Mario RPG. Last tournament, Samus suffered a humiliating defeat against the Prince of Persia in the first round, while Mallow upset X in the first round. Who will be victorious this time?

(3)MEGA MAN vs. (14)DIG DUG - Mega Man is the blaster-riffic Blue Bomber, star of the series of the same name, taking powers and kicking butt. Dig Dug is...Dig Dug. He...digs. And pops enemies like balloons. Dig Dug is a newcomer to the tournament, while Mega Man has fallen from grace and has been lowered from his #1 seed in the previous tournament. Will the Blue Bomber prevail, or is an upset on the horizon?

(7)BOMBERMAN vs. (10)M. BISON - Bomberman has been revamped from cutesy bombing hero to futuristic bombing demon, but he still does exactly what his namesake is: he plants bombs. M. Bison is the main villian of the original Street Fighter II, many quarters have been wasted trying to defeat this boss. Will Bomberman blow his competition sky high, or will M. Bison pull out all his punches?

(2)LUIGI vs. (15)BLAZE - Luigi needs no introduction, everybody knows him as the brother of the star Mario, often times overlooked because of Mario's star power. Blaze is the female star of Streets of Rage, well-known for giving panty shots to the player whenever she kicked. Luigi has a score to settle, hoping to best his brother in the tournament. Will the green-suited plumber move on, or will Blaze kick around an upset?

Well, the results have been tallied....moving on in Division 1...

Link stomps Hitman in 11-0 rout. The returning champion of Hyrule cleans up in a shut-out victory over Agent 47. No silent assasinations today....

Halo titan brought down by Australian. Crash Bandicoot takes down the weapon-heavy Master Chief in a 7-3 victory.

Underdog black mage upsets rival echidna. In a stunning 5-4 upset, Vivi moves on to the next round and Knuckles is sent home packing.

King Koopa trounces Belmont family member. Bowser wins over Simon Belmont in a not-so-close 9-2 victory. I guess his whips just couldn't stand up to the heat.

Six-shooter no match for anti-hero. Wario withstood Revolver Ocelot's bullet barrage and came out nearly unscathed in another 9-2 victory.

No life for Half-Life star. The spiky-haired hero Cloud mowed down Mr. Freeman, winning 8-2 in glorious fashion.

Psychic boy sneak attacks princess. Ness and his PK Fire burned down Peach's castle in the second upset of the round. Ness moves on with his 8-3 victory.

Sephiroth skewers poor, defenseless young man. In another blowout, the grey-haired, Masamune-wielding Sephiroth destroyed Ramza in a 10-1 victory.

Some vote counts are different because some of you were ambiguous with your choices or flat-out forgot to vote for certain match-ups. Don't make that mistake again!

(1)MARIO vs. (16)DAXTER - Last year's runner-up, everyone's favorite mustachioed plumber, is back once again and still has his #1 seeding. His opponent is Daxter, the better half of the Jak and Daxter duo...and I'm not really quite sure what he is, but he's furry. And talks smack. He may be small and tough, but he's got a difficult match against the Nintendo heavyweight, and Mario's looking to clean some pipes out this tournament.

(8)ALUCARD vs. (9)ZERO - Alucard is the son of Dracula, and star of Sympony of the Night, what some say is the best Castlevania game in existence. Zero is the saber-wielding robot from the Mega Man X series (as well as his own Mega Man Zero series now). Zero suffered a heavy loss in the first tournament, losing to 14th-seeded Ratchet in a tight battle in the very first round. He looks to stuff it to the half-vampire this tourney and get a chance in round 2.

(5)LARA CROFT vs. (12)RATCHET - Lara Croft is the big-boobed Tomb Raider veteran, who's boobs are only matched in size by the arsenal she somehow fits into her short shorts. Ratchet is the star of the Ratchet & Clank series, and while he has no boobs, he has a much bigger arsenal than Lara's, and is looking to cause some destruction. Last tournament, pulled an upset out of his ammo box against a much tougher and higher seed. Can he do it again this time, or will Lara's chest smother him?

(4)SORA vs. (13)KING OF ALL COSMOS - Sora is the main star of Kingdom Hearts, the premiere Playstation action-RPG game, usually seen with compains Donald and Goofy. King of All Cosmos is..well, just that. He's that head-thing from the Katamari Damacy games who tells the prince to go and roll up towns. Nice guy. In the first tourney, Sora battled his way to the Elite 8, upsetting #1 seed Mega Man and nearly winning the division title. The King is a newbie to the tournament...can he pull off a thrilling upset?

(6)CRONO vs. (11)MAGUS - Before describing this match-up, I have to make clear that all match-ups this time were decided by random draw. The seeds were chosen by me, but the first-round match-ups and which division they were in were all random. That being said, it's an ironic twist that Crono and Magus face-off in round 1 of this tourney. Both come from Chrono Trigger, one of the greatest RPGs of all time. Crono is the silent hero, and Magus is the not-so-silent villian for the first half of the game. Will the hero or the villian move on to round 2?

(3)DONKEY KONG vs. (14)GEX - Donkey Kong is the great ape, first made famous by stealing the princess and throwing barrels at Mario. He later gained more popularity and his own series...simply by being a giant gorilla. Gex is the lesser-known mascot of the ill-fated 3D0, and he's a smack-talking gecko that came about long before the Geico one. With such quotes as "Hey, I feel like I'm trapped in Boy George's pants.", can the wise-cracking gecko beat the loud-grunting monkey?

(7)X vs. (10)DIABLO - X is the star of the Mega Man X series, some confuse him with the original Mega Man, and many often wonder what the difference is. Diablo is the main, evil villian of the game with the same name, and has a cult following. Considering his name is Diablo, this should come across as no surprise. X looks to make up for his disappointing first-round exit in the last tourney (upset by the young Mallow) by beating up on the devil. Diablo looks to make it to the second round for the first time as well, having fell by the hands of Sora in tourney #1.

(2)SONIC vs. (15)TUROK - Sega's main blue hedgehog needs no explanation, and he's out for blood this tournament. Sonic is upset after being downgraded from a #1 seed since he lost to Pac-Man in the third round last tourney. His opponent is a newbie to the tournament, the star of the Turok game series. Turok has taken on dinosaurs with big, bad guns...but is he up to the task of shooting down a speeding hedgehog?
